We are excited to announce that we are currently looking for a News Writer to join our News department. Prepare to work for a leading publisher of uplifting stories that cure boredom worldwide

What You Will Do:

• Write engaging articles about viral stories, breaking news, celebrities, and social trends;
• Create fun and interesting listicles, including those inspired by major events;
• Pitch and develop original ideas for interviews and unique stories;
• Research deeply to find the most interesting and fresh story angles;
• Create titles that flesh out stories and engage users;
• Work closely with the team to test new ideas and find creative ways to connect with our audience;
• Compete with top global publishers to be the first to cover trending and breaking news.

What We Expect:

• Ability to write strong headlines;
• Keen eye for photos;
• Newsroom experience;
• Experience in finding and breaking exclusive stories;
• Experience in covering celebrity news would be an advantage;
• We expect you to be collaborative, open to feedback, and a true team player;
• Capability to work from 16:30 to 00:00 (Wednesday to Friday) and from 16:00 to 02:00 (Saturday to Sunday), aligned with the Lithuanian time zone (EET/EEST).

We're looking for talented individuals to join our team and cover weekend and evening shifts:
Saturday–Sunday (16:00–02:00 EEST)
and
Wednesday–Thursday–Friday (16:30–00:00 EEST)
. Please note that during the onboarding and training period, the schedule may vary. These shifts ensure our news section stays fresh and up-to-date during the most important hours - so we never miss a hot story
