As the biggest engine manufacturer in China, Weichai Group is looking for a professional Technical Specialist for Power Plant Business in Latin America. This position will be responsible for supporting Weichai's gas and diesel generator set power plant projects in the Latin American region, providing technical expertise, design solutions, and after-sales support, while coordinating with local teams and headquarters to ensure project success.

This position will be responsible for supporting Weichai's gas and diesel generator set power plant projects in the Latin American region, providing technical expertise, design solutions, and after-sales support, while coordinating with local teams and headquarters to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
:
- Provide technical support for power plant projects using Weichai generator sets in Latin America;
- Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of gas and diesel engine generator sets for power plants;
- Develop and review technical solutions (layout, P&ID, electrical and mechanical integration) ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards;
- Support sales teams with technical proposals, project specifications, and customer consultations;
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical documentation for EPCs, end users, and government projects;
- Collaborate with headquarters engineering teams for product customization, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (Master's in Energy Systems or related fields preferred);
- At least 5 years of experience in power plant design, generator set projects, or related industries;
- Familiarity with international standards for power plants (ISO, IEC, NFPA, local grid codes);
- Fluent level in English and Spanish;
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Latin American region.
Required Skills
:
- Solid knowledge of power generation systems, especially medium- and large-scale gas/diesel generator sets (1–20 MW range);
- Proven technical experience in power plant design and project execution;
- Ability to analyze customer/project requirements and provide optimized solutions;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both electrical and mechanical aspects;
- Excellent communication and training abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Capability to work independently and within multicultural project environments;
- Strong project planning, organizational, and reporting skills.
