The Opportunity

We are looking for a LQA Associate to oversee our Language Quality Assurance / Quality Control Team (QC) Team. QC Specialists are responsible for assessing project specs and performing a thorough, non-language final review of documents before delivery of project.

Your Impact

  • Gathers feedback from translators and proofreaders and passes it on to the project team.
  • Monitor project activities and suggest improvements.
  • Adhere to the localization instructions regarding quality provided by the customer
  • Identify and reports linguistic issues and discrepancies.
  • Cooperate on planning projects and solving project issues.
  • Cooperate with the Project Manager during the projects.
  • Provide feedback to translators, localizers and proofreaders.
  • Contribute to the linguistic workflows and processes definitions and specifications.
  • Evaluate the translators, localizers and proofreaders.
  • Implement suggestions from the customer regarding the use of terminology, style etc.
  • Implement changes required by external and internal customers.
  • Organize project meetings with translators/localizers and proofreaders.
  • Support and manage a pool of specialized linguists during Language Quality Management.
  • Drive the language quality management of various accounts, depending on the volume, or specializes in assisting other accounts on language quality related areas.
  • Manage linguistic queries.
  • Assume responsibility for the quality of the accounts assigned.

Qualifications for Success

  • Minimum 1 year of translation industry experience including use of translation tools
  • Copy – editing/proofreading experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a true team player
  • Tech savvy, able to juggle multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Energetic self-starter with initiative and creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and Adobe software products
  • Commitment to professional customer service
  • Fluency in English and a second language
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in translation or related field from an accredited institution
