Our client is a dynamic manufacturer's representative and consulting firm specializing in providing services across multiple industries. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team, responsible for managing financial operations, reporting, and process improvement.


Location: Fully Remote, 9 AM – 5 PM CST

Role Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant who will manage account analysis, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis, budgets, forecasting, and audit support. The role also involves contributing to process improvements and financial automation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Accounting Close:

  • Prepare and record journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Calculate and record estimated revenue for services.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and business unit reporting.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Perform account analysis and reconciliations (corporate credit cards, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts payable support).

  • Develop cash flow analysis, budgets, and forecasts, linking balance sheets and cash flow statements to the profit and loss (P&L) statement.

  • Support year-end audit preparation and internal controls.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline and automate accounting and reporting processes where possible.

  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to enhance financial workflows and improve automation.

Tools & Systems:

  • NetSuite (ERP) (nice-to-have)

  • Expensify (for credit card statements) (nice-to-have)

  • Advanced Excel (financial modeling is a plus)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience (experience in professional services or retail is preferred but not required).

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.

  • A self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and wearing multiple hats.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a dynamic remote environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with financial modeling, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Expensify.
