About the Company

Control is a self-custody wallet built for individuals to manage their wealth. It delivers institutional-grade security with personal expert guidance, combining a premium user experience with strong risk controls and long-term reliability.

We are expanding our security capabilities and looking for a senior Security Engineer with an end-to-end view of application security and infrastructure security, strong curiosity, and a desire to create real impact. This person will be the only security engineer in the team, reporting directly to the CISO, and will operate as a jack of all trades within the security function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and implement application security practices: threat modeling, architecture reviews, guidelines, and standards.
  • Manage vulnerabilities end-to-end (SAST, DAST, SCA).
  • Design, implement, and enhance secure infrastructure in GCP (IAM, networking, hardening, monitoring).
  • Automate security and infrastructure workflows and controls.
  • Participate in SecOps, including monitoring, detection, and incident response.
  • Work closely with the CISO on defining key security policies, controls, and long-term strategy.
  • Stay current with risks and trends in the fintech and crypto ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in security roles (AppSec, InfraSec, or hybrid).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Good understanding of the crypto and Web3 ecosystem (concepts, risks, threat landscape).
  • Previous fintech experience is a strong plus.
  • High autonomy, strong ownership, and solid technical judgment.
  • Bilingual English — required for daily collaboration with the U.S.-based team.
