Role Summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong AI/LLM focus and solid Python skills to work on LLM-based solutions and AI-powered applications. You will support the development, integration, and optimization of AI models, collaborate with an international team, and iterate quickly from prototype to production.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with AI development, comfortable integrating AI capabilities into applications (including UI layers), and eager to grow in a dynamic, distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine LLM-based solutions to support product and business needs.
- Design, build, and iterate on LLM-based solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
- Prototype, test, and iterate quickly on AI solutions to reach production-quality outcomes.
- Adapt and enhance existing AI/ML codebases under guidance from senior team members.
- Integrate AI models and LLM capabilities into applications, including interaction with UI layers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business requirements.
- Deploy and monitor AI solutions in production environments, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on programming skills in Python.
- Experience working with AI/ML models and LLM-based solutions in real-world projects.
- Familiarity with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and AI integration workflows.
- Experience integrating AI solutions into applications (APIs, services, or UI-facing components).
- Working knowledge of SQL and general data manipulation workflows.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow direction, and improve existing solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed, global team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, including RAG-based solutions, fine-tuning, or similar applied approaches.
- Exposure to building or extending AI models beyond out-of-the-box usage.
- Basic frontend knowledge (HTML/CSS or similar) and understanding of UI concepts for AI-driven applications.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Based in South America or within a compatible time zone to collaborate effectively with U.S. and India-based teammates.
