ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a proactive professional to play a key role in managing global cargo surveys, inspections, and claim adjustments.

You will be responsible for leading the Claims team and establishing clear processes to ensure efficiency and support the expansion of the department.

This position is based at our headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Claims team
  • Organize and coordinate the most complex surveys and inspections for different types of cargo globally, including follow-up and process monitoring.
  • Communicate with clients, as well as with surveyors and experts assigned to each case.
  • Collect essential documentation and evidence to support claims.
  • Keep clients informed and updated on the progress of surveys.
  • Ensure clear communication regarding the status of claims and necessary requirements.
  • Document all claims accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and adjust the claim under the policy
  • Give support to the Manager and all the Country Managers in strategy and claims matters.
  • Detect technical training needs and conduct workshops and assess Talent for other needs.
  • Understand and effectively communicate BARBUSS value proposition and culture.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good understanding of the claims flows.
  • 5+ years prior experience in a similar role would be nice to have.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Good negotiation skills for planning/scheduling.
  • Ability to build rapport with staff at all level.
  • Fluent English (oral and written)
