Role Purpose

The Marketing Assistant drives top‑of‑funnel growth through content and campaigns, turning awareness into qualified traffic, leads, and platform sign‑ups. The role works closely with the Marketing Manager to support engagement and retention efforts to ensure new users are successfully activated and retained.

Key Responsibilities

Acquisition & Funnel Growth

  • Lead content‑driven acquisition efforts to increase platform sign‑ups.
  • Create traffic and generate qualified leads via SEO, organic reach, and social campaigns.
  • Monitor, and optimize the acquisition funnel, measuring conversions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager on these actions.

Social Media, Email & Content Creation

  • Design posts, reels, and short videos for our social media channels using Canva and CapCut.
  • Post, schedule, and maintain social media content in our channels.
  • Engage with the community by replying to comments and DMs.
  • Ensure all content follows Class2Class brand, communication, and safety guidelines.
  • Use internal and external AI tools to ideate, draft, and repurpose content (posts, images, videos, copy).
  • Help draft, build, and QA email campaigns/newsletters.

Content Support (Learning & Partnerships)

  • Support on-demand content production (e.g., infographics, presentations, written pieces) to support learning and partnerships teams.
  • Ensure that all materials align with our brand and communication standards.

SEO & Web Content

  • Produce and maintain SEO‑optimized articles and landing pages copy.
  • Execute against the Class2Class keyword map to improve rankings and organic traffic.
  • Ensure we own the most important keywords for our audience.

Localized Content

  • Create and adapt content for localized versions of the platform (English & Spanish).
  • Coordinate with localization/QA to ensure terminology, tone, and UX strings align with brand and pedagogy.

Organization, Coordination & Execution

  • Keep marketing files, brand assets, and campaign materials organized.
  • Provide hands-on support for the execution of the marketing and communications plan.

Reporting, Dashboards & Insights

  • Track and report performance: traffic, CTR, CPL, sign‑ups, activation, retention‑leading indicators.
  • Work closely with our
    data specialist
    to gain insights into content performance and implement enhancements based on those insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to visualize funnel health across markets ("nice to have" if you already have the skills).

Paid Media & Budget Stewardship

  • Assist in configuring and monitoring paid campaigns in Meta (and other channels as relevant).
  • Execute against the approved marketing budget (guided by the Marketing Manager), ensuring efficient spend and clear attribution.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Strong skills in Canva (or similar) and basic video editing (CapCut or equivalent).
  • Curiosity and willingness to use AI tools for marketing and content creation.
  • Bilingual written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented; can manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and performance tracking.
  • Education & experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications (or related field) and 1–2 years of relevant experience (agency experience is a plus).
  • Plus: Understanding of Meta Ads Manager/Business Suite for setup/monitoring.
  • Plus: SEO and WordPress knowledge.
  • Plus: A creative storytelling mindset suited to educators and mission‑driven audiences.
