Senior Data Specialist, Snowflake

You will join as a Founding Data Engineer, designing and implementing the venture's core data platform. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to build scalable data models, pipelines, and integrations that enable high-quality decision-making. Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Snowflake data models supporting analytics and core application workflows.
- Build and manage data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines.
- Architect event-driven data ingestion using AWS services.
- Implement Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and related Snowflake capabilities.
- Build data quality, lineage, and observability mechanisms.
- Ensure high data reliability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate on data modeling to support internal and external reporting.
- 5+ years in data engineering
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Snowflake: schema + table design, snowpipe, streams, tasks
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience building event-driven pipelines
- Experience with ETL/data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling and warehouse design
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
- Experience with financial or insurance data
- Experience building hybrid data architectures
- 1-year contract with extensions based on performance
- Competitive USD hourly rates aligned to experience
- Remote in Latin America (EST)
