As a
Virtual Measure Technician
you're the behind-the-scenes expert who makes every home improvement installation run smoothly — from accurate measurements to perfect finishes. You'll review site photos and videos, verify specs, and ensure installers have everything they need before the first hammer swings. Your precision and communication prevent costly mistakes and keep customers thrilled.

What You'll Do

  • Review
    photos, videos, and measurements
    from field teams to verify accuracy for windows, doors, siding, roofing, gutters, and bath projects.
  • Identify
    measurement discrepancies, installation challenges, and missing details
    before production.
  • Create or confirm
    installation material lists and labor estimates
    .
  • Communicate directly with customers to
    confirm product specs and site readiness
    .
  • Coordinate virtually with
    installation crews and internal teams
    , providing direction when site issues arise.
  • Perform
    quality control checks
    post-installation to ensure jobs meet company standards.

Who You Are

This role is perfect for someone with
hands-on home improvement experience
who wants to work remotely while staying close to the craft.

Must-Have Experience

  • 3–5 years
    in one or more of the following:
  • Window, door, siding, roofing, or bath installation
  • Measurement and takeoff using site photos, videos, or blueprints
  • Construction estimating or project coordination
  • Strong understanding of
    U.S. construction methods and materials
  • Extreme attention to detail
    — accuracy is your superpower
  • Confident with
    virtual tools and documentation
  • Excellent
    English communication
    (C1/B2 level minimum)
  • Comfortable using tools such as:
  • Google Workspace
  • Asana or other project management tools
  • Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • Hubstaff or time-tracking software

Bonus Skills

  • Previous work as a
    lead installer, site supervisor, or measure technician
  • Experience in
    U.S.-based home improvement companies
  • Knowledge of
    architectural drawings or CAD

The Details

  • Compensation:
    $15–18 USD/hour
  • Schedule:
    Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM EST (U.S. hours)
  • Work Type:
    100% remote, independent contractor
  • Travel:
    None
  • Tools Provided:
    Virtual access to project management and communication platforms
