About Class2Class

Class2Class is a global Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) platform that connects schools, teachers, and organizations to create meaningful international learning projects. As we continue scaling worldwide, we are becoming an increasingly data-driven organization, and we're looking for the person who will lead this transformation.

Role Purpose

The Data Analyst will design, implement, and maintain the end-to-end data ecosystem for Class2Class, covering:

  • Learning Analytics
  • Marketing & Growth Analytics
  • Platform & Product Analytics

This role connects all data sources across the organization, defines KPIs, instruments events, builds dashboards, and transforms data into actionable insights for internal teams, partners, and users.

This is a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Modeling & Architecture

  • Design the central data model for learning, marketing, product, and partnerships.
  • Define data sources, structure, and ETL processes.
  • Build pipelines that integrate platform data, website analytics, email analytics, surveys, and learning evidence.
  • Ensure data consistency, reliability, and governance across the organization.

2. Platform & Web Instrumentation

  • Identify and define key product events to track.
  • Implement tracking across platform, landing pages, and website (GA4, Tag Manager, Mixpanel, pixels).
  • Document event schemas and metrics in both technical and functional language.
  • Create clear, user-friendly reports that guide product roadmap decisions.

3. Learning Analytics & Data Visualization

Work with the Learning team to define impact KPIs and measurement frameworks, including:

  • Focusing on measuring the concrete educational impact of educational projects, student success, and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Translating qualitative educational constructs into measurable KPIs.
  • Identifying and mapping necessary data sources to achieve these measurements.
  • Establishing a continuous feedback loop where data-driven insights are translated into actionable improvements for the education and content teams (the "education engine").
  • Building dashboards for:
  • Teachers, schools, and partners that demonstrate educational impact
  • Internal teams (Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, or equivalent)

4. Marketing & Growth Analytics

Support the Marketing team by:

  • Defining KPIs for acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Analyzing funnels, cohorts, and campaign performance.
  • Optimizing conversions, CAC, ROI, and content performance.
  • Establishing a continuous feedback loop where marketing and growth data inform and optimize content strategy and future campaigns (the "content engine").
  • Producing weekly and monthly growth reports.
  • Building custom reports based on the available data.
  • Measuring cross-channel performance (Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, Brevo, etc.)

5. Hands-On Analytics & Engineering

  • Write SQL queries for extraction, cleaning, and transformation.
  • Use Python for automation, analysis, and model preparation.
  • Collaborate with our developers to integrate and maintain the data layer.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data infrastructure.

Requirements
Technical Skills

  • Experience with web & product analytics tools (GA4, Tag Manager, Mixpanel).
  • Ability to instrument and document event tracking schemas.
  • Strong data visualization skills (Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau).
  • Strong SQL and comfortable working with APIs, backend data structures, and ETL pipelines.
  • Python for data cleaning, automation, and exploratory analysis.
  • Familiarity with JSON, CSV, relational and non-relational structures.
  • Understanding of data privacy, GDPR compliance, and data governance principles.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution.
  • Autonomy, ownership, and reliability.
  • We highly value a quick mind, an adaptive attitude, and real engagement with our mission.
  • Bilingual written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Professional Experience

We are looking for someone with:

  • 1–2 years of experience is a guideline; we prioritize candidates demonstrating a quick grasp, high adaptability, and proven success in previous data analysis, data engineering, product analytics, or growth analytics roles.
  • Experience working with data models, ETL pipelines, databases, and event-driven analytics.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Tech, Product, Marketing, Learning).
  • Experience building dashboards used by real stakeholders.

Strong plus:

  • Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or product analytics.
  • Experience designing data layers/schemas for SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with educational analytics models, competency frameworks, or assessment metrics.
