About the Role
Bad Twin Capital is a lean, transaction-focused advisory firm working on capital raises and M&A transactions ranging from $5M to $500M+ across a wide range of sectors. We work directly with founders, executives, and institutional investors, operating as a small, high-accountability team where performance and results matter.
We are hiring an Investment Banking Associate with meaningful prior experience to take on real responsibility across live transactions, manage analysts, and work directly with partners to scale execution and investor relationships. This is not a passive or purely analytical role — this position carries authority, autonomy, and direct influence on firm growth.
What You'll Do
Deal Execution & Market Preparation
• Lead and support execution on capital raise and M&A mandates
• Prepare companies for market, including investment memoranda (CIMs), financial models, valuation analysis, and data room organization
• Manage deal timelines, workflows, and diligence processes
Team Leadership
• Lead, train, and manage analysts
• Review analyst work to ensure institutional-quality outputs
• Maintain execution velocity across multiple concurrent transactions
Investor & Buyer Outreach
• Work with partners to expand and strengthen investor and buyer relationships
• Conduct direct outreach and calls with interested investors and strategic buyers generated through targeted email campaigns
• Track investor feedback and advance transactions through the process
Partner Collaboration & Firm Building
• Work directly with partners on deal strategy, positioning, and client management
• Improve internal execution processes and deal playbooks
• Act as a trusted execution partner in a growing, entrepreneurial firm
Minimum Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in investment banking
• Bachelor's degree (finance, economics, business, or related field preferred)
• Native or near-native English proficiency (spoken and written)
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
• Experience communicating directly with investors, buyers, and senior executives
Highly Valued Experience
• Capital raising and/or sell-side M&A experience
• Experience managing or mentoring analysts
• Investor outreach, calling, or deal sourcing experience
• Comfort working across multiple sectors
• Interest in working in a small team where individual impact is significant

Compensation
