*Description*
The Full Stack Web Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a secure, scalable, multi-tenant web application for an MSP platform. This role owns both front-end and back-end development, including user experience design, API development, data ingestion, and data normalization.

The developer will design intuitive dashboards and drill-down workflows that allow MSP operators to move seamlessly from organization-level views to user and endpoint details. In addition, this functionality will enable clients to quickly understand the state of their engagement with Interlaced, providing a clear, high-level snapshot of service utilization, performance, and outcomes. They will build responsive UI components, data visualizations, and powerful data tables while ensuring performance and accuracy.

On the backend, this role is accountable for API design, database schema development, and critical data ingestion pipelines that normalize data from multiple sources such as RMM tools, MDM platforms (Intune/JAMF), and CSV imports. The developer will also implement scheduled jobs and listeners to continuously evaluate connected sources of truth and surface actionable insights.

This role requires a curious, independent process thinker who can collaborate cross-functionally, lead related initiatives, and define best practices as we scale.This role is critical to delivering a reliable MVP and evolving it into a production-ready, scalable MSP platform. The platform is expected to be architected from the ground up with security, observability, and SOC 2-aligned controls in mind, so compliance requirements do not require significant re-engineering later.

Key Responsibilities*
Front-End & UX

• Design and implement responsive layouts for core MVP pages: Dashboard, Clients, Users, and Endpoints.
• on the front end
• Build intuitive drill-down navigation from organization → user → endpoint views
• Design, build, and maintain scalable API connections and data models that ingest, normalize, and surface key indicators from disparate systems, ensuring data is contextually nested and accessible across relevant areas of the platform
• Implement clear visual security and device health indicators (e.g., encryption, antivirus, OS status)
• Develop sortable, searchable, and filterable data tables
• Integrate charts and widgets to visualize security and endpoint health

Backend & APIs

• Design and build RESTful APIs to support all MVP functionality
• Node JS/Express on the back end
• Implement secure multi-tenant data access and role-based permissions, with auditability and access controls designed to support future SOC 2 compliance
• Connect frontend components to backend services reliably and efficiently

Data & Platform Logic

• Design database schemas for organizations, users, endpoints, and software in a multi-tenant fashion
• Build ingestion pipelines to normalize data from multiple sources (RMM, Intune/JAMF, CSV imports)
• Implement scheduled jobs or listeners to continuously assess endpoint health
• Ensure data accuracy, resilience, and visibility across the platform
• Incorporate logging, monitoring, and alerting patterns that support security visibility, incident investigation, and SOC 2-aligned control evidence

Delivery & Collaboration

• Partner with MSP stakeholders to define MVP scope and priorities
• Deliver features iteratively with a focus on usability and reliability
• Document APIs, data models, and ingestion logic for long-term maintainability

*Required Qualifications*

• 3+ years experience building full-stack web applications (frontend + backend)
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Experience designing and consuming APIs
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
• Experience handling data ingestion, transformation, or integration from external systems
• Familiarity with SaaS multi-tenant architecture concepts

Nice to Have

• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in IT service, MSP, or SaaS environments
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and PSA tools (e.g. ConnectWise)
• Exposure to security frameworks or compliance-driven environments (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) in SaaS or multi-tenant systems

Provide Accurate and Actionable Platform Visibility

• ≥95% accuracy and consistency of aggregated data compared to connected source systems
• All connected sources of truth evaluated via scheduled jobs and/or event-based listeners at defined intervals
  New or updated data reflected in the platform within defined SLAs (e.g.,- Actionable insights generated and surfaced based on evaluated data points (e.g., flags, trends, anomalies, or state changes)
• Clear lineage between surfaced insights and their underlying source data to ensure traceability and trust
  Establish Reliable Data Ingestion and Normalization

Key Results:

• Successful ingestion from all MVP-supported sources (RMM, Intune/JAMF, CSV)
• ≥95% ingestion job success rate
• Clear logging and retry mechanisms for failed ingestions

Build a Scalable and Secure Multi-Tenant Foundation

Key Results:

• Zero cross-tenant data access issues
• APIs documented and stable for MVP use cases
• Database schema supports onboarding new MSP clients without rework

Execute with Speed and Quality

Key Results:

• ≥90% of sprint commitments delivered on time
• Minimal post-release defects impacting MVP users

Conditions*
This is a 1-year contract position with a salary range of $50,000-$60,000 Annual USD depending on experience and qualifications. This position is from the hours of 8am-5pm working in a time zone of your choice, Central Time (UTC -5/-6 through Pacific Time (UTC -7/-8), Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Any extension or renewal of this contract shall be effective only if made in writing and signed by both parties prior to the expiration of the original term.
