Job Title: Estimator – Fence Installation
Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Eastern Time Zone)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: 1,200 USD/Month

We are seeking a detail-driven Estimator to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone with strong math skills, attention to detail, and experience producing accurate construction estimates. The Estimator will play a vital role in pricing projects correctly, maintaining profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will review incoming project details, calculate materials and labor, and prepare clear, competitive cost estimates.

Estimating

• Review sketches, measurements, and notes to prepare precise material and labor estimates.
• Calculate footage, post spacing, gates, hardware, and special requirements using standard fencing methods.
• Ensure all pricing aligns with vendor/supplier rates and internal margins.
• Identify discrepancies in job details and escalate as necessary.

Collaboration & Tools

• Work closely with sales and operations teams to clarify project scope and materials.
• Use software tools (Fence360, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, etc.) to track and submit estimates.
• Prepare next-day estimates and finalize approved job pricing.

• Strong math and geometry skills for accurate calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using spreadsheets, estimating software, and digital platforms.
• A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to accuracy and customer service.

• Prior estimating experience, preferably in fencing, construction, or related trades.
• Familiarity with fencing materials (chain link, vinyl, wood, aluminum, etc.) and installation practices.
• Experience reading construction sketches or job site layouts.
• Understanding of regional permitting and installation codes.
• Previous exposure to fence sales, takeoffs, or field measurements.

• Must have a professional remote work setup and reliable internet.
• Strong Zoom presence and communication required – English (C1/C2).
