Medical Records Request SpecialistEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: RemoteApply here: https://operationsarmy.com/applicationAbout the RoleThe Medical Records Request Specialist is responsible for actively requesting medical records from healthcare providers and ensuring those requests are followed through to completion. This role focuses on provider outreach, follow-ups, and managing outstanding requests—not document intake or basic processing.You will handle multiple open requests at a time, track progress, and work directly with provider offices to resolve delays or rejections.Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Records Request SubmissionSubmit medical record requests via provider portals, fax, email, or other approved methodsResearch and follow provider-specific submission requirementsEnsure all request packets are complete before submissionProvider Follow-Up & EscalationPerform regular follow-ups with provider offices regarding pending requestsTrack aging requests and prioritize based on turnaround targetsHandle rejections, resubmissions, and missing requirementsEscalate unresponsive providers according to SOPsTracking & DocumentationMaintain accurate status updates for each requestDocument follow-up activity and provider responsesEnsure received records are logged and routed properlyOperational DisciplineAdhere strictly to retrieval workflows and timelinesIdentify recurring provider issues and flag them for reviewWhat You BringExperience requesting medical records from providersFamiliarity with ROI/HIM workflowsComfort with outbound follow-up and persistence-based tasksStrong organization and attention to detailExperience with tools like ChartSwap, Datavant, MRO, CIOX, or Sharecare is a plusApply here: https://operationsarmy.com/application
