Senior Tax Analyst

Responsibilities:

- Manage, execute, direct and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries.
- Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
- Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for reviews
- Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
- Research and consult on various tax matters. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Review client’s current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve the client experience and reduce tax exposure.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service.
- Deliver a full range of State and Local Tax services including tax return preparation and review, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, and counseling client in defending against state audits.
- Research all state & local tax issues and develop appropriate solutions that impact clients’ financial position.
- Special projects and process improvement initiatives.
