As a** Senior Product Engineer** on the **Payday** team (Enterprise features), you won't just write code - you’ll **solve business problems for our enterprise users**. Your primary focus will be on **designing**, **building**, and **delivering high-impact features** that address the needs of larger teams using n8n.
You’ll **own features end-to-end** and work across the stack, **collaborating closely with Product and Design** to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
We're looking for someone who brings strong engineering skills _and_ a **product mindset** - someone who cares about user impact, focusing on _why_ we're building something just as much as _how_.

- ** Centralised insights dashboard** providing administrators with a real-time overview of instance health, and workflow execution performance, enabling better monitoring, visibility, and confidence in managing large-scale n8n deployments.
- ** Enhanced Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)**allowing allowing administrators to precisely control user access to workflows, credentials, and execution data, improving security and compliance.
- ** Git-backed Environments**to enable teams to adopt safer development lifecycles (e.g. Development, Staging, Production), allowing controlled versioning and promotion of workflows without impacting live automation workflows.

**What you'll bring**
- Strong proficiency in **Node.js** and **TypeScript/JavaScript**.
- Experience working with **Vue.js** or other modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular).
- Experience in **designing, building, and consuming robust APIs** (e.g. RESTful, GraphQL).
- Solid understanding of **relational databases** (e.g. PostgreSQL) and SQL.
- Experience **shipping features end-to-end** in a product-driven environment, demonstrating ownership from concept to deployment.
- Experience with **modern testing practices** and frameworks (e.g. Jest, Vitest, Cypress).
- ** Excellent communication and collaboration skills**, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams
- You’re **curious** and you **love learning new things**.
- You value feedback, believe in continuous learning, and enjoy working with others to create a positive team environment.

**Nice to have / bonus points**
- Experience developing features specifically for **enterprise software** (e.g. Role-Based Access Control, Single Sign-On).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience contributing to or working with **open-source projects**.
- Familiarity with workflow automation concepts or platforms.
