As a QUALITY ENGINEER, you will manage and audit plant processes on a regular basis and ensure compliance with written procedures. You will give feedback and work instructions to wage and salary employees involved in paint manufacturing, you will be a key member of the root cause investigation team and will be encouraged to collect data, interview operators, and attend corrective action meetings, and revise processing instructions to optimize processing and improve product quality

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise production process. Daily time spent on production floor with the intent of auditing tickets, insuring alignment to detailed manufacturing procedures.
- Giving feedback to wage employees and production supervisors on quality performance.
- Fixing production issues with a focus on long-term improvement of process and/or employee performance.
- Root Cause Analysis/investigation and participation in corrective action process.
- Communication of quality issues (monthly) and data analysis to look for trends (positive or negative) within production processes.
- Attending product review meetings to ensure the product is “plant ready” before the first batch is made.
- Revising routings and formulas for optimization of processing.
- Using Sigma/Lean and HOP tools to ensure that plant processes are repeatable, reproducible, efficient, and safe.

**Qualifications**
- Engineering degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Quality and process-focused.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding Oracle ERP system and Oracle BI
- Understanding of Six Sigma and rudimentary statistical control concepts
- Certification in IATF 16949
- English proficiency.
