**About The Role**
A leading healthcare SaaS provider is seeking an enthusiastic Billing Systems Analyst to be a key member of the Billing and Payments Support Team.
**Work Hours & Time Zone**:
Standard hours are 9 AM - 5 PM Pacific Time, with flexibility to accommodate other U.S. time zones and distributed teams as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and update SQL scripts to resolve data issues affecting billing and payment processes.
- Monitor system alerts and restart processes running on Windows and Linux servers as needed.
- Analyze and document alert instructions to improve issue resolution time.
- Develop scripted workarounds for recurring system issues.
- Execute reports, queries, and data analysis to troubleshoot billing-related problems.
**Job Duties**:
- Write and execute SQL queries on Oracle databases, with basic PL/SQL scripting.
- Analyze data to diagnose production issues and implement scripted solutions.
- Optimize queries for performance tuning and conduct peer reviews of SQL scripts.
- Provide operational support for billing and payment systems, including monitoring Windows processes and scripting alerts or data cleanups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues between internal and remote interfaces.
- Identify and resolve production issues by diagnosing root causes and coordinating with relevant teams.
- Document and improve process flows, protocols, and change management procedures.
- Collaborate with the QA team to create and review test cases, approve changes, and assist in production deployments.
**Required Qualifications & Experience**:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in SQL.
- 3+ years of experience writing PL/SQL scripts.
- Proficiency in query performance tuning techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision.
**Preferred Skills**:
- 1+ years of experience in shell scripting, Perl, TCL, or Java.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
