Billing Specialist

**Billing Service Specialist (Mid/Senior Level) - Remote**

**Responsibilities**
- Process and manage **medical claims** with insurance providers.
- Review and correct **denied or rejected claims**.
- Handle **insurance verification** and patient eligibility.
- Manage **claim appeals** and follow up on denied claims.
- Post and **reconcile payments** within internal systems.
- Generate and manage **patient statements**.
- Ensure compliance with **HIPAA regulations** and medical billing standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment discrepancies.

**Requirements**:

- **Advanced English (C1/C2)** - ability to communicate fluently with U.S.based stakeholders.
- Previous experience in **medical billing** (**Mid/Senior level**).
- Strong knowledge of **RCMT** and **HIPAA regulations**.
- Ability to work with **insurance companies** and handle claim appeals.
- Experience in **payment reconciliation** and financial reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume data processing.
- Strong **problem-solving and analytical skills**.

**Preferred (Nice to Have)**
- Experience with **medical billing software** (e.g., **EPIC, Medisoft, AdvancedMD, etc.**).
- **Billing or Medical Coding certification**.
- Prior experience in the **U.S. healthcare insurance market**.

This is a **fully remote role** for professionals located in **Latin America**, with a **competitive salary paid in USD**.
