**An excellent education establishment is looking to recruit a Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering, to work on a full-time, permanent basis..**

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**

As the Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will be joining a team of diverse higher education professionals in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines. The team works with the military to train professionally qualified engineers to enable UK military to live, work and move, by designing, constructing, and maintaining infrastructure and accommodation on bases and on operations around the world.

In your new role, your duties will include:

- To be responsible for the achievement and learning of all learners within your group
- Reflecting on current, state of the art and emerging engineering practices

**Salary & Benefits**
- The salary range is £30,000 to £45,000 (dependant on qualifications & experience)
- Paid holiday entitlement of 6 weeks, plus bank holidays

- Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Experience of contributing to the development of academic strategies for example, research and innovation, teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Experience of working in a relevant sector
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Teaching or Assessor/verifier qualifications would also be **advantageous**

**Desirable** requirements**:

- Have previously worked within Defence to deliver engineering excellence
- Experience of working in a learning environment
- Good understanding of apprenticeship frameworks
