**CLIENT**
The project is for a US-based company that builds a queueing system for organizing appointments and queues at various institutions such as hospitals, retail stores, banks, etc. When an end-user queues for an appointment it advises what time slots are available, depending on what services the user wants to use. When the user arrives at the location the system tells them what the expected queue time will be.

**PROJECT OVERVIEW**
The project consists of two teams, a 2-3 person team working on the maintenance of the older version of the system and a team of about 10-12 professionals building a new version from scratch. It is expected that the Java developer will join the old version maintenance team and once the new version is in production (ETA 6 months) they will be moved to the new version development team.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer who will handle the client legacy system.
**TECHNOLOGY STACK**
Java, Jboss, AWS, Aurora MySQL.
**Responsibilities**
- Writing scalable code
- Identification & resolution of performance issues
- Ability to work with a large codebase
- Collaboration with QA, DevOps and Product teams daily
- Identify bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Participation in scrum process, estimations and sprint commitment and retrospective
- Communications with tech stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- 4+ years of commercial experience in Java development
- Expertise in building microservices/RESTful APIs with Spring Boot
- Experience with basic AWS services (ELB, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Experience with RDBMS
- Experience with event-based architectures
- Deep understanding of quality standards and unit testing
- Working experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments
- At least B1+ English level
**Nice to have**
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
- Experience with Java build and packaging tools (Gradle, Maven)
- Experience working with PostgreSQL database
- Experience with Memcached/Redis
- Experience with ElasticSearch/Solr
