**The Work You’ll Do**:
Everything is based in the Cloud nowadays. But everything quickly becomes nothing without successful systems on the back-end. Here at Sovos, we have millions of data transactions running through our systems every day. Without our robust, agile Cloud Operations, we would not be able to deliver our SaaS products - and would not be able to Solve Tax for Good. This is where you come in.

As part of Sovos Cloud Operation/engineering organization, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and scalability of Sovos Saas offering. You will have many opportunities to bring tremendous impact to our Cloud Infrastructure Saas products and customer experience while constantly learning new things.

More specifically you will:

- Expert on Building Monitoring framework using latest tools (e.g App Dynamic, Nagios, Splunk Scalyr or similar tools) and technologies for better visibility and observability
- Build and improve standard methodology for data warehousing, 360-degree data analytics and reporting based on business requirements
- Proactively Identifying performance bottlenecks, identifying anomalous system behavior, and resolving root cause of service issues
- Create and maintain reports that describe performance issues and possible root causes.
- Operate internal testing infrastructure and raise potential bugs to development teams
- Collaborate with developers, architects, Product Management, Operations and other cross functional teams to successfully achieve team’s’ objectives.

**What we are looking for from you**:

- Passion for identifying and solving Data, performance, and scalability challenges.
- Industry experience with SaaS architecture, preferably in the areas of scalability, capacity, and Data Analysis and performance optimization.
- Background in high-performance computing, Capacity planning and distributed systems.
- Large scale, distributed software design & development experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Well versed in Performance metrics & algorithms as well as strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong organizational skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
