SUMMARY
As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of the ISO-26262 functional safety development process for our next generation products. These products will be part of the complex electronic systems contained in automobiles that are safety critical. You will also contribute to the enhancement of the development process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Creating and managing a Safety Plan.
o Safety requirements management using tools such as Jama.
o Chip architecture evaluation using methodologies such as fault injection.
o Safety analysis using tools such as Medini Analyze.
o Conducting verification reviews of hardware and software deliverables.
o Educating and guiding the development team on functional safety standards, development process, and tools.
o Maintaining functional safety assets in accordance with proper document control and change management practices.
o Generating and analyzing data collected from product development engineers, and summarizing findings into reports and presentations.
o Interfacing with customers, from requirements definition, through development, and for safety audits/reviews.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical of Electronics Engineering or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant engineering experience with general electronic circuits, systems, and embedded software.- Experience of at least two years in Automotive or Industrial Functional Safety is preferred. Experience with embedded software is a plus.- Work collaboratively with team members across the organization.
