**Position Overview**

We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team at Piano. This role involves analyzing financial information and maintaining complete records in compliance with our global standards. As an Accounting Specialist, you will also oversee outsourced accounting processes, keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing payments, handle various financial tasks as needed, and ensure that all tax documents are properly recorded. **What You'll Do**

Work closely with the Finance Team and other departments, you will ensure all cash transactions are properly recorded in the accounting books and tax reports. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key in helping us meet our financial goals.
- Oversee the local accounting outsourced services (corporate taxes calculations, accounting balances delivery).
- Responsible for the bank account, legal entity´s funding, and cash balance forecast and reporting.
- Review ledgers, statements, and balance sheets for accuracy.
- Record financial information and provide summaries when necessary.
- Maintain accounts by checking and verifying financial transactions.
- Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained.
- Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate.
- Verify financial statements and audit other related financial documents in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Process and organize local vendor invoices to ensure bills are paid and received in a timely manner.
- Record appropriately all banking transactions operations.
- Ensure the correct calculation and reporting for tax returns.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax orientation to internal stakeholders.
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Research and analyze financial information and data.
- Respond to inquiries and provide excellent internal “customer service”.
- Monitor market trends, changes and challenges in tax and accounting regulations.
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
- Manage employees´ expense bookkeeping and bank payment process.
- Managing corporate income and expenditure accounts.
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.

**What You Have**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting and tax preparation in other SAAS global companies.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and tax principles and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluent in English, Spanish, and other languages a plus.
