At Ready Set, we make new video ads for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok every week for large clients like Cerebral, Hims, NordicTrack, Weight Watchers and more.

It's like Saturday Night Live: Monday we're writing on a new script and the rest of the week our producers and editors work to get it made. The ad then goes into testing and we get to learn if it's a hit or not. Coming up with ads that have a 7-figure impact for clients is an awesome feeling and a GREAT product to sell. We have grown revenue 300% y/y without anyone in either sales or marketing.

**Video Editors** are responsible for editing ads for clients day to day, working for a fixed set of brands and in close contact with the creative directors that write and revise every video.

**Responsibilities**:

- Editing short form and long-form direct response video ads for Facebook and other platforms, for clients like Smile Direct Club, MeUndies and more.
- Animating simple text and shape assets to complement the edits.
- Work hand to hand with one or more creative directors, receiving feedback, revisions and sometimes advising on creative decisions.
- Following up editing best practices, naming conventions and upload and download procedures, so we can all edit each other's projects.

**Competencies**:

- Excellent english, both written and spoken. This is a US based company.
- Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere and After effect (+7 years)
- An experienced editor who gets Performance Video intuitively
- Accessible, responsive and diligent - we move fast and reliability is key
- Humble, coachable - takes feedback well. We are always learning from each other
- Self-motivated - a doer. We give everyone at Ready Set a ton of freedom
- Works well remotely - it's a particular setup with its own pros and cons
- Understands paid social and how it's different from other mediums
- Willing to experiment and take risks
- Willing to work within brand guidelines and help ensure our clients love their creative
- Driven by creating ads that help our clients sell more of their products. Open to iterating based on the data that comes back on what's working
