**Quality Specialist - Microbiology, your next position?**

In this role, as part of our Taste & Wellbeing team, you will prevent and control microbiologic risk exposure products by providing expertise and defining appropriate technical standards & requirements in relation to the design of operational processes and products. You will report to the Quality Manager.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Identification, handling and maintenance of glassware and media equipment complexity (ovens, laminar flow hoods, centrifuges, microscopes optics, autoclaves, sterilization ovens, scales, potentiometers, Millipore water filtration, spectrophotometer, ELISA plate reader).
- Etiology, characteristic and mechanism of infections caused by viruses, bacteria and protozoa (Fundamental differences);
- Sterilization, disinfection and aseptic techniques in microbiological work.
- Preparation, weighing and packaging of culture media and solutions.
- Handle sample receiving and preparing microbiological tests.
- Physical methods (heat, moist heat, pasteurization, filtration, radiation) and chemicals (alcohols, aldehydes, inorganic acids, gaseous sterilants) of microbial control).
- Establish and maintain documented technical standards concerning the design of buildings, processes and products concerning microbiological risk management.
- Support QC concerning microbiological issues, provide advice on appropriate microbiological test parameters & limits.
- Coordinate / support the investigation in to non-conformance relating to cases of microbiological contamination.
- Coordinate and perform cleaning validation tests.
- Coordinate and perform environment monitoring tests.

You will work on-site in our Taste & Wellbeing facility located in Munro, Gran Buenos Aires.

Your professional profile includes:

- University or Technical degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the food or beverages industry.
- Experience in QC Microbiology Lab and QA functions.
- Knowledge of Histology Basics and Preparation for Microscopy.
- Basic notions of Cell Biology.
- Operational experience in a laboratory environment, using analytical equipment and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer Titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC.
- Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous material and related local regulations.
- Upper-intermediate level of English, both oral and written.
