We are currently looking for a** FINANCIAL **ANALYST** to join our team

**What you can expect in this role**:
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for reflecting business transactions in accounting records, providing assistance in the preparation of monthly financial statements, tracking capital expenditures, and preparing supporting schedules to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley.

**Here are some of the key responsibilities**:

- Reflect business transactions in accounting records.
- Review vendor invoices and request for payment processing.
- Maintain proper accounting balances and ensure proper bank accounting.
- Collaborate on month end closing ensuring figures are accurate and in compliance with Accounting Policies (Local GAAP, IFRS).
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for the general ledger accounts as well as other controls required to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial information to be sent to the Corporate Finance team in Montreal, including interfacing with a third-party accounting firm.

**Here's the profile we're looking for**:

- CPA designation (preferable) with 2-year experience in a finance/accounting department
- Audit and Accounting expertise (Big 4 experience is an advantage) with knowledge of IFRS and financial modeling
- Strong Microsoft Office suite user and an advanced English level is required due to the periodical contact with corporate team
- Strong work ethic and high level of ownership to build structure in an unstructured environment with desire to learn in an emerging industry
- Flexible and adaptable; experience working in a start-up environment would be an asset
