- Job Description- The Cloudmark products at Proofpoint protect the messaging infrastructure of more than 120 tier-one service providers worldwide, including Verizon, Comcast, Cox, Swisscom, and NTT. We are expanding our product line to prevent other malicious online activities and to make messaging safe. The Safe Messaging Cloud (SMC) platform provides a carrier-grade, cloud-based messaging security solution for ISP’s, hosting companies and mobile network operators across the globe. The platform pairs advanced data analytics and automated threat monitoring to deliver responsive real-time anti-abuse protection for these high-volume messaging environments. The team members supporting the SMC have extensive experience in Linux system administration, software development and hands on experience with many of the common modern-day technologies and languages (Docker, Go, Python, Jenkins, Artifactory, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).- Your day-to-day- Develop software for internal and external use using approved languages (Go, Python) and pair them with recent cloud technologies (serverless infrastructure, auto-scaling groups.)- Contribute to the design and functionality of our ever-evolving Cloud platform.- Assist in maintaining and updating production environments.- Work with multiple teams as well as external customers to identify opportunities to improve the business, architecture and processes.- What you bring to the team- Heavy exposure to Python, Go or similar languages- Bachelors CS/Computer Engineering/related field, plus 5+ years industry experience- 5+ years industry experience with systems architectures- 2+ years industry experience with Cloud technologies and providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)- 2+ years industry experience with distributed systems-
- Strong abilities in software development- Significant Linux system administration experience- Comprehensive ability to diagnose and remediate complex issues-
- Exposure to network infrastructure: security, routing, network management and performance management.- Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external resources.- Naturally curious person who is able to work with mínimal guidance while collaborating across multiple departments within the company- Comfortable conveying research via written reports and in person presentations.- Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work independently yet fully integrate with worldwide, remote teams- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Math or equivalent work experience- Why Proofpoint- As a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
