**This is a full-time, 100% remote role. We hire and pay you directly**

**Role Outcomes**:

- **Data Warehouse Design and Management**: Leverage dbt (data build tool) to design, build, and maintain efficient data warehouse structures, capable of handling data from 10,000+ locations within the next 6 months.
- **Insightful Reporting and Visualization**: Develop and maintain business intelligence reports in Metabase, providing actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
- **Data Infrastructure Optimization**: Continuously improve data processing, storage, and retrieval processes to enhance performance and load times.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement robust data warehousing solutions using dbt.
- Create and manage business intelligence reports and dashboards in Metabase.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to understand data needs and implement solutions.
- Optimize data storage, and query performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all data platforms.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering.

In this role, you will be part of the product team that builds and maintains our SaaS platform. In addition to the above data engineering projects, you will be expected to be able to contribute to our backend services. You will also assist with client migration from our legacy systems to our new platform.

To be successful in this role, you must be self-driven. You must be able to take action, even when you lack all the information you need. The kinds of problems we deal with are ambiguous. You must be willing and capable of thriving in a role where you make big decisions and are accountable for those decisions.

The first 45 days working with us will be an introductory period. After your first 45 days, we evaluate if you are a strong fit per the criteria in this post. If we feel that we are a solid fit for each other, we will extend our offer to a permanent role.

During your introductory period, we would also like to see that you are able to take ownership of your learning and are able to take projects from planning to delivery.
- 2-3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data warehousing and BI reporting.
- Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and warehousing design.
- Experience with Metabase or similar BI tools for creating reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies.
- 2 years of Python experience (Django/FastAPI/data manipulation).
- Experience with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
