**The Work You'll Do**

As a Renewals Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our newly created Renewals organization, ensuring our customers continue their partnership with Sovos while maximizing the value they receive from our solutions that enable compliance across borders and industries.
Tax compliance isn't optional—every company, in every industry, must get it right. As a quota-carrying individual contributor, you'll be the trusted advisor who guides customers through their renewal journey, identifying opportunities to enhance their compliance capabilities while building lasting relationships that drive mutual success.

- More specifically, you will:_
- Develop internal and external relationships by cultivating connections with key stakeholders within customer organizations and collaborating with Account Management and Customer Success teams to build comprehensive account plans
- Implement renewals best practices to enhance the overall customer experience during renewal, ensuring operational excellence throughout the process and maintaining tactical awareness to address challenges promptly
- Drive renewal upsell opportunities by proactively identifying and capitalizing on expansion possibilities within assigned territories across global markets
- Manage negotiations and account issues by leading customer negotiations to ensure successful renewals and partnering with stakeholders to resolve any issues impacting renewal outcomes
- Maintain predictability in forecasting and delivering against targets, striving to exceed expectations in all aspects of renewal management while working across time zones with global teams
- Demonstrate proficiency in learning new systems and navigating through change effectively, quickly ramping up on new product offerings and leveraging AI tools to optimize renewal strategies
- Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders within tight timelines and resource constraints, advocating for clients while ensuring company policies are upheld
**What We Need From You**
- 1+ years of experience in renewals management, account management, or customer success in the software industry, with experience in SaaS solutions and services preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, advocating for clients while ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to handle difficult situations and resolve issues promptly and effectively
- Experience or ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholder relationships across different regions and time zones
- Self-motivated learner who adapts quickly to new systems, processes, and product offerings in an evolving technology landscape
