We are looking for motivated software engineers to join our Speech to Text backend team in Argentina.

You will work in a distributed team consisting of members with diverse backgrounds and experience. You will solve challenging technical problems, own your products end-to-end and help take our SaaS platform to the next level.

As a backend engineer, you will build and/or scale our systems to be highly performant and robust. Your work will connect the world’s leading business to their customers, using modern technologies and service-oriented architectures and you will collaborate with Product and other engineering teams to build innovative new features and products for the Customer Experience space.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, implement and drive the technical roadmap and product implementation; help the team prioritize and plan pragmatically.
- Ship software that is scalable and robust and then keep it humming.
- Partner closely with dependent teams across engineering to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Identify gaps in knowledge, tools, and process and work with your manager & PM to address those.
- Incorporate the best development practices and habits and help build tooling to enforce the same.
- Work in small teams with like minded engineers in an agile environment with daily standups, demo days, code reviews and research spikes.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and impact teams through tech talks and presentations.
- Be a voice of Medallia Engineering in Argentina’s tech scene thru hosting and participating in meetups.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- +2 years of experience developing enterprise grade software.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Experience building distributed systems/enterprise systems on a modern stack.
- Experience building and maintaining software services that will be used by other teams or exposed with external APIs.
- Strong experience with code quality best practices and implementing testing architectures and modularization on large codebases.
- Have performed software development in a production environment using a mainstream object-oriented programming language (Java, Java Libraries, Java Frameworks preferred)
- Relational DB’s such as PostgreSQL.

- Multi-threaded programming.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong practitioner of best practices.Strong customer focus, ownership, and drive.
- Deep experience with agile software development process.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with asynchronous communication methodologies like Kafka
- Experience with Redis
- Demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals.

- Fast learner, hands-on approach, and goal-oriented.
