**_Job Summary: _**

You will have the opportunity to work with our Global Team to provide quality services to external managed service clients as well as internal business units. This job will offer you opportunities to work in diverse environments and be responsible for the provision of system support across multiple domains, design/quote/delivery projects as well as consulting and pre-sales opportunities.

Work individually or within a team on software product consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements. May include support, maintenance, and administration. Work directly with the client and may travel to the client site. Provide technical direction and guidance to the delivery team and take responsibility for project deliverables through all phases of the SDLC.

**_Duties & Responsibilities: _**
- Develop Technical Specifications documents.
- Design and programming of agreed developments/modifications to the system.
- Assist other developers in the design of their components.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure understanding of client’s requirements.
- Assist Business Analysts with defining customer requirements.
- Unit testing of code and quality assurance of system.
- Resolve issues relating to the integration of project deliverables.
- System promotions to existing and new customers.
- Ensure established standards and procedures are followed at all times.
- Diagnose and correct system defects
- Identify situations where the system must be customized to meet client requirements
- Prepare estimates of the labor hours and calendar time required to implement proposed changes to the software or correct root causes of operational problems
- Accurately estimate time frames required to complete assigned tasks

**_Required Skills/Abilities: _**
- Microsoft technology stack knowledge.
- Database development using Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Developer.
- Experience with GIT (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of development methodologies and intimate knowledge of SDLC.
- Dedicated to meet initiative deadlines.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies and processes

**_Education and Experience: _**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- A passion for software development and working in a modern software development business which is customer centric.
- Proven, hands-on experience with PL/SQL development:

- Experience in working with software solutions involving direct customer or Operations interaction
- An educational in Software programming, Computer Science or Engineering, i.e. minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Design, development, testing and deployment skills
- Willing/Experience working in an agile team.

**_Desirable: _**
- Tibco Jaspersoft experience
- Experience in the utility/energy industry
- Oracle Developer certification or equivalent work experience
- Oracle SQL Developer
- Allround Automations PL/SQL Developer
- SQL*Plus
- TOAD
- Unix shell scripting
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Solid knowledge of databases and query language/tools
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Linux, PowerShell, Jenkins, Jira, Open Text Exstream, and Tivoli (desirable)
