**Main Purpose**
- Be responsible for the overall management and direction of the manufacturing activities in Pilar 1 and Pilar 2 at the CH PS Pilar Suppy Center. The key focus of this role is to develop continuous improvement culture based on Bayer's LIFE values to support the transformation of Pilar from a PSS phase 0 to phase 4 site leading to breakhtroughs in operational performance in production. The incumbent will require strong leadership skills to assure that products are produced and available on time, defect free, and within budget so the needs and goals of the organization are met.

**Your mission will be to**
- Serves as a member of the Production leadership team in the development of site objectives, strategies, and policies.
- Leads the Bulk Production Cells and cross-functional value-stream in packaging operations in Pilar1 and Pilar 2 including safety, quality, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and IT, promoting high level of sense of urgency and collaboration on the shopfloor.
- Develop the Safety Culture across the Bulk production operations, serving as role model and championing the key processes that will assure an accident-free environment.
- Assure compliance to all Bayer policies and directives as well as external regulatory compliance, including environmental aspects of the plant
- Drive a proactive approach to Quality, assuring compliance with GMP and all relevant regulations and Standards, increase processes stability and deliver substantial improvement on “right-first-time”.
- Support the Validation master plan execution and assure appropriate lifecycle management of Products, including statistical capability improvement.
- Ensure meeting of customer and consumer needs in close collaboration with the planning department, supporting a strong short and long term production planning and taking all the actions needed to support an efficient execution
- Ensure continuous improvement culture with a strong focus on efficiency (e.g. Cycle time and Yield) with Operational Excellence tools as enablers, assuring the strategic PSS path from phase 0 to phase 4 in Packaging areas.
- Participates in and provides leadership for selected key strategic packaging with cross-functional support.
- Plan, execute and controls the operating budget and associated cost centers for bulk production operations, delivering innovative alternatives to support Cost reduction targets
- Challenge status quo and carry out projects related to plant modifications including the incorporation of new technologies, capacity increase, digitalization, automation, etc.
- People & culture: Develop production personnel, by ensuring talent attraction, training and coaching and organization dynamics to build a high-performance culture.
- Must exercise leadership and motivate others to action, through a positive, team and results-oriented style across all levels of the company

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or pharmacist is required.
- Strong preference for an advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD)
- Requires at least 10 years of industry multi-disciplined experience with progressive management responsibility, leading high regulated pharmaceutical operations
- Applied knowledge of GMPs under highly regulated environment and World Class Safety Standards. Solids Manufacturing experience is a must
- Excellent understanding of solid manufacturing technologies
- Extensive applied knowledge of Lean, TPM and other Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience driving Production teams to significant performance upgrades
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
