**The Work You'll Do**:
The Information Security Analyst III plays a critical role in administering and implementing security systems, investigating alerts and system logs, and supporting the architectural design and planning of enterprise defenses against security breaches and vulnerabilities. This role also extends existing security defenses, contributes to the creation and maintenance of policies and standards, and serves as a member of the Sovos Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) to identify and address potential security incidents.
- More specifically, you will:_
- Conduct research and design for new security technologies and enhancements to existing architectures.
- Investigate escalated alerts from security analysts and review system logs for unusual trends or indicators of compromise.
- Develop and implement system and device hardening standards and own rule tuning for centralized logging, IDS, DLP, URL proxies, and SIEM.
- Support third-party vendor management and security validation during hosted environment build-outs and deployments.
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of security strategies and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
- Serve as a member of the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), responding to incidents and contributing to investigations.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and employee data while staying current on information security practices.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend maintenance activities as needed.

**What We Need From You**
- 4+ years of experience in an IT environment.
- Strong understanding of computer systems’ characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
- Proficiency in creating clean, concise diagrams and documentation.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly responsible, motivated, and team-oriented.
- Ability to set and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effectively collaborate with teammates, colleagues, and customers.
