Senior Paralegal

**Sr Corporate Paralegal - IP & Procurement**

Assurant is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal to provide high-level support to the Legal Department, focusing on intellectual property (IP) portfolio management and procurement contract support. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with deep experience in corporate governance, IP filings, and vendor contract lifecycle management.

**What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?**
- Manage daily tasks to meet the demands of the Legal & Compliance department, and specifically the IP & Procurement practice group, including drafting various types of third-party contracts, including master agreements, statements of work, renewals, amendments, and terminations with mínimal oversight by the Lead Attorneys of the IP and Procurement practice group.
- Perform research, compile and analyze data, and provide recommendations in response to internal and external requests.
- Partner with the attorneys in the Legal & Compliance department to assist with various corporate governance projects or initiatives, including ideas for projects to enhance the IP & Procurement practice
group’s standards and procedures.
- Perform minor administrative tasks for the IP & Procurement practice group, which may include calendaring events, expense reimbursement, booking travel, and other administrative matters.

**What are the requirements needed for this position?**
- Minimum of 6 years of corporate paralegal experience required (ideally within the legal department of a public company or insurance company) or a law firm
- Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and use of computer-based research tools and resources
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization internally and externally
- Highly autonomous and self-motivated work ethic; demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate an ability to handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature, and the capacity to maintain composure while working under pressure
- Strong ability to manage/lead projects
