**About the Role**

We are looking for a** Sr Back End Engineer** with experience working in Node. Js, to be part of a team that serves our clients developing tools to measure and increase the company's rate of innovation.

As **Sr Back End Engineer**, you will have the opportunity to discover, solve and deliver unique projects, significantly shaping the tech stack, engineering practices, and company culture. We place a high value on a learner's mindset and the willingness to look at problems from a fresh perspective.

**Responsibilities**
- Building out a public API and supporting the backend. This could be building an assessment module, writing endpoints, building tests, testing code coverage, implementing partners, etc.
- Working on building out software that solves a huge issue, and prepares people for hurricanes, wildfires, etc.
- Spending time developing end points
- Working on a release cycle that ships every week
- Using Vercel, Next.js, Typescript, Supabase, Deno, Firebase, Node as the stack.
- Using Sentry and Slack in your day to day work.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years experience with Typescript and JS.
- Familiar with Next.js.
- Experience with Vercel, Supabase, Deno, and Firebase.
- Understand how to build lean, and scalable code that is maintainable, modularized.
- Join a 2x/week development call with US.
- Act as self starter, are comfortable with making decisions on your own and having autonomy to make things happen
- Able to work in a startup environment with changes, modifications, and the pressure to ship often.
- Advanced English level.
