Senior Network Engineer

The Role

Charles Taylor InsureTech is looking for a Network Engineer who will be part of a cross discipline global mergers & acquisitions team. This is a hands-on technical role that covers designing solutions, building & configuring new environments, migrating services, troubleshooting environments, circuit activations, performing detailed root cause analysis, the effective escalation of challenges, and documenting best practices. The Network Engineer requires experience implementing complex projects, meeting project deadlines, facing challenges with a positive attitude, and work with a strong sense of task ownership. Charles Taylor is a cloud first organisation focusing on the Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create network designs to support implementations in acquisitions and new solutions
- Perform circuit activations and migrations
- Configure and troubleshoot Checkpoint & Fortinet firewalls
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches
- Maintain and troubleshoot Checkpoint firewalls
- Work with a cross functional operations team managing and supporting all aspects of network infrastructure
- Install and configure Azure networking resources (NSG, Front Door, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways, Web Application Firewalls)
- Support a global Meraki Wi-Fi deployment
- Troubleshoot network access issues
- Configure site to site IPSec VPNs
- Create and maintain infrastructure related diagrams, documentation, and procedures
- Conduct full stack diagnostics to help determine the root cause of problems

**Required Skills**:

- Experience in creating and documenting network designs
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching systems
- Experience with Check Point firewalls and/or Fortinet firewalls
- Experience with Azure networking
- Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to deadlines
- Excellent Spanish and English communication skills
