**Role and Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, scale and enhance our internal and external microservices that encapsulate our platform functionality
- Take a hands-on lead in platform design, development, architecture, execution and adoption
- Collaborate with architects, developers for code reviews and troubleshooting
- Hire, mentor and develop a world-class team of engineers, instilling and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with team members and SRE team to improve system stability and observability
- Engage with business leaders, product owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into executable solutions
- Stay abreast of latest/emerging technologies

**Requirements**:

- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven Java developer with a minimum 8 years of experience and proficiency with Spring framework, Spring Boot and MicroServices
- Experience in one other language, either Ruby/Rails or Python is a bonus
- Must possess strong SQL and experience working with relational databases (PostgresSQL, Oracle, or MySQL)
- Must possess experience working with AWS technologies
- Experience with Kafka & Elasticsearch and working knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap
- Robust understanding of leading industry technologies a plus.
- Ability to work in an agile team with an understanding of software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, CI/CD, etc.)
- An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
