**Job description**

The Pre-Sales Engineer at VyOS Networks is a key role responsible for providing tailored technical solutions to customers while ensuring alignment with company objectives. The role demands a deep understanding of VyOS features, industry trends, and effective collaboration across various teams to deliver high-quality technical documentation and demonstrations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand customer requirements and provide customized technical solutions.
- Perform detailed technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers, partners, and prospects.
- Build and execute proof-of-concept demonstrations tailored to customer use cases.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering consultancy and expert guidance on VyOS features and capabilities to clients and internal teams.
- Prepare technical sales documentation, including solution briefs, white papers, and use cases, to support sales interactions and website content.
- Develop comprehensive responses to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Maintain clear, precise, and up-to-date technical resources for customer engagement.
- Coordinate closely with development teams, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment and collaborative execution of strategies.
- Participate in discussions about new product features and improvements based on customer interactions and market demands.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to position VyOS as a cutting-edge solution.
- Execute other tasks as defined by the Company to support the overall mission and objectives.

**Skills**:

- Strong networking and security knowledge, specifically in open-source networking solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner.
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a remote, distributed team environment.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical role.
- Would be a plus to have hands-on experience with VyOS or similar open-source networking solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering technical presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs with detailed technical documentation.
- Prior experience in working collaboratively across sales, product management, and technical teams.
- Familiarity with industry trends and evolving networking technologies.

**Work Conditions and Compensations**
- Fully Remote Work: This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from any location.
- Flexible Work Schedule: While we offer a flexible work schedule that allows you to manage your own time, the nature of our globally distributed teams may require occasional work during non-typical hours to align with colleagues across different time zones. Collaboration and communication are key, so some availability for cross-time-zone meetings will be necessary.
