**Summary**

Automation engineer to build out testing process from scratch

**Description**

We have an opportunity for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a Canadian client in the banking/financial services industry. They're rebuilding their customer portal from scratch (and other projects too) and need someone who can help build an automation testing framework from scratch.

**Key responsibilities may include**:

- Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Identify, analyze, and report software defects to facilitate efficient bug resolution.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Set up and configure testing environments and test automation frameworks.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing insights and feedback to improve product quality.
- Work closely with developers to ensure proper integration and test coverage for new features and enhancements.
- Continuously enhance and optimize test automation frameworks and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation testing.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Puppeteer.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

**Of Note**:You will be required to prove you own laptop, basic software tools, and cell phone.

Salario: $15,00 - $20,00 la hora
