Reporting to the HRDC Director Latam, As Associate Manager, Total Rewards at SC Johnson you will lead and supervise a team within the regional HR Service Center to ensure delivery of superior service to internal customers in multiple countries.
You will be responsible for supporting the Total Rewards COE in the implementation and administration of a comprehensive total rewards strategy and programs that will best represent SC Johnson within the given market. You will manage and support all aspects of the employee rewards program, including compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits, worklife, retirement benefits and pay programs and policies. You will be responsible for providing input to the COE to be used for evaluating and making recommendations on compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.
This position will be managing the team’s areas of accountability, equipping team members with skills and knowledge they need to support the HR operations, monitoring team performance, drive continuous improvement of Tier 2 Total Rewards Operations and implement change initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day to day operational activities of the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of total rewards programs
- Coordinate team resourcing to ensure workloads are effectively managed
- Develop and maintain strong internal business relationships to proactively identify, mitigate and resolve customer concerns
- In conjunction with HRIS and the COE, participate in the implementation of system and process changes, quality controls and audit recommendations to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures and continuous improvement
- Ensure the confidentiality, security and integrity of employee rewards and data records in accordance with legislation and country specific policies and procedures
- Participate with the COE in assessing the effectiveness of current rewards programs in achieving organizational objectives. This may be done by regular monitoring/reporting of KPIs as well as reviewing market trends
- Provide analysis, consultation, and recommendations to COE on decisions and issues related to Total Rewards
- Ensure SC Johnson’s total reward plans comply with legal and other regulations for the countries in scope
- Leverage HR metrics and data to demonstrate the value of Total Rewards initiatives, support continuous improvement, and inform business decisions
- Lead and assume overall accountability for services provided and results achieved by the Total Rewards team
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within HR
- Keep current with global compensation, retirement benefits and health/welfare benefits trends
- Responsible for Total Rewards budget allocation
- Embrace and drive change for HR programs
- Partner with Total Rewards COE team members and HR Business Partners to ensure coordination, alignment, and proactive issue management with regards to compensation, retirement benefits and health/welfare benefits
- Evaluate products, vendors, and programs related to the Total Rewards process
- Influence requirements for technologies, tools, and methodologies to deliver compensation, retirement benefits and health/welfare benefits
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Knowledge of leading practices, external trends, principles, and methods in Total Rewards including compensation, retirement benefits, and HR systems
- Ability to work successfully with and stakeholders in building, leading and contribute to a successful Total Rewards function across a complex, global organization
- Ability to influence, partner, and develop productive relationships with COE partners and other parties to achieve necessary goals
- Excellent financial / business acumen and analytical abilities
- Experience in vendor management; selection of and negotiation with would be helpful
- Well versed in government policies, regulations, and procedures regarding compensation and benefits
- Executive presence to interact easily across all levels within the organization in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
- Self-starter with a proactive and inquisitive nature who can anticipate and pre-empt problems
- Strong planning, organization, delegation, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
- Skilled in effective leadership, people management, and development
