DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes

Avature is a flexible product and building it requires using a variety of tools with an adaptable approach. DevOps Engineers are fundamental in that process, as they provide the tools and environments used throughout the development cycle. Additionally, as a bridge between our infrastructure and development teams, they are key to enable collaboration towards common goals in our Engineering area. For this particular position, you will specialize in deploying, configuring and maintaining the Kubernetes environment, essential to continue evolving our platform.
Your challenges and objectives
- Help maintain a strong and fluent relationship between the Development and Cloud Services areas.
- Take ownership of our internal and external hosting needs and ensure their security and availability.
- Assist in defining the team’s roadmap, goals, and needs.

Your day-to-day activities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain the Kubernetes platform.
- Automate Kubernetes system tools and environment deployments.
- Stay up-to-date on new functionalities, best practices and ways to implement Kubernetes.
- Interact with other teams to promote best practices and train them on the use of the Kubernetes platform.
- Monitor Kubernetes clusters.
- Document processes, workflows, and architecture.

About you
- Experience working with Linux-based operating systems.
- Knowledge in automation, configuration management (e.g. Puppet), monitoring, Python, Bash, and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience in product-as-a-service operation is a plus.
- Software development skills are a plus.
- Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift is a plus.
