The position is meant to be fully dedicated to work as a Baker Hughes Desk Engineer for one of the main Baker Hughes Customers.

As a Drilling & Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring compliance with manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
- Work with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesperson to understand the client’s well construction or production objectives as well as the commercial terms for Baker Hughes (i.e. outcome-based contract, line-item contract, etc.)
- Designing a job program, including risk mitigation plans and contingency plans, that can meet the client’s objective(s), maximize revenue potential and ensure future job assignments for Baker Hughe.
- Detailed analysis, implementation and optimization of the lessons learned acquired during the execution and post job stage of every drilling section.
- Accurately document any calculations/simulations/plan revision and/or changes during the project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purposes.
- Providing on-demand support in accordance with product portfolio or on-call schedule for job execution.
- Participating in Incident Investigations when required, ensuring the end-to-end process is considered, (including job planning, preparation, and execution), when determining incident root cause(s) alongside appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensuring timely incident management to enable fast customer issue resolution and cash collection.
- Advising on product improvement opportunities for repetitive component/product failures.
- Product line specific responsibilities as applicable.
- Handles special projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have a bachelor’s degree or related.
- Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- More than 3 years’ experience as Drilling Engineer or Drilling Optimization Engineer, with knowledge of Industry Standard Drilling Softwares.
- Well Planning Software + Optimization tools. NOT Well Planning knowledge only. Specify if experience is in the Vaca Muerta Area.
- Previous field experience (Directional Driller, CoMan, Onsite Drilling Engineer) is desired. Specify if experience is in the Vaca Muerta Area.
- Advanced English level.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis.
- Ability to work in a global matrix organization.
- Ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer different facilities, meetings, training, etc.
