Ccb Clm Credit Analyst

**Objective**: Commercial Lending Management (CLM) is an integral part of the Citi Commercial Banking (CCB) organization. CLM’s mandate is to deliver best-in-class credit risk analysis, monitoring and credit administration as a partner of both CCB Business and Independent Risk areas, thus to ensure the safety and soundness of lending across CCB. CLM Credit Analysts are responsible for a portfolio of CCB Relationships, owning the Credit Risk Analysis for those relationships and being responsible for the continuous monitoring of that portfolio. That includes the production of Annual Reviews, Interims Reviews, Credit Memos, Classified Credit Reviews (if applicable) and the support to Ad-Hoc Transactions and Portfolio & Industry Reviews and Stress Testing. A CLM Credit Analyst is expected to have a deep understanding of credit risk, Citi´s internal policies and procedures and different industries fundamentals. With mínimal supervision from CLM Head is able to carry thoughtful conversations with Independent Risk and Business Coverage partners. Applies analytical thinking of data analysis tools and methodologies and pays attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of information. Is able to communicates potentially complex/sensitive information. Develops duties following high quality standards and in acceptable turnaround time. **Key Responsibilities**: - Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi’s CCB clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors. - Complete Credit Analysis Write-up Memos and Final Obligor Risk Ratings of Citi’s Counterparties based on independent assessment and judgement completed on the due diligence of the client and industry knowledge to provide appropriate extensions of credit remaining within CCB Risk appetite. - Continuous monitoring of the covered portfolio, including following industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to CLM Head, Independent Risk and Business coverage partners. - Reviewing and providing recommendation on the risk raking across different industries. - Partnership with applicable regional and industry stakeholders across Citi in the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios. - Provide preliminary analysis of simple and complex credits including calculation of cash flow, debt service coverage, leverage and other ratios. **Qualifications**: - Financial Services experience including 5-8 years of credit experience in Banking or Credit Risk Management. - Well developed analytical skills, including understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile) with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues. - Demonstrates advanced knowledge of financial statements and GAAP accounting or similar governance relating to country of operation. - Forms independent opinions on credit and recognizes emerging risks. - Sets the standard for industry research capabilities, including risk and key drivers. - Solid understanding of Credit Policy and procedures; proactively reviews Citi policies and procedures to benchmark against transactions and work submitted. - Demonstrates ability to identify and escalate potential risk issues. - Consistently demonstrates solid and concise written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. - **Job Family Group**: Risk Management - **Job Family**: Credit Decisions - **Time Type**: Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
