**The role**:
Kin + Carta is hiring a User Experience Designer to join our global Salesforce platform team, to help us design amazing experiences for our internal operations and build a modern day enterprise. **Role responsibilities**:
As a User Experience Designer at Kin + Carta, you’ll be responsible for leveraging UX research insights, communicating your ideas visually, designing concepts for interactions, understanding and organizing complexities, promoting modern interaction design patterns and best practices, and working with cross-functional teams to build and test your digital experiences.

As a trusted advisor to our internal clients on their digital experiences, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on their understanding and implementation of design practices. While collaborating with our other experts in design, research, software engineering, quality assurance, technical architecture, and product strategy, you’ll learn something new daily, and we will learn from you too

Some of your special skills and abilities you will put into practice:

- Business process design: Understand the business needs and work with POs to develop efficient workflow and system designs to accomplish JTBD
- Data: Leverage UXR insights and user and stakeholder feedback to guide system design
- Stay current on what the system technology is capable of in the UI and serve as the UI SME for the team
- Visual design: Ensure the team understands the visual requirements so they they can build it
- Implementation validation: Ensure that what the team builds adheres to the visual requirements
- Escalation: Be a point of support and escalation for the implementation team and the business on anything pertaining to visual design
- Design Strategy: Create, maintain, and execute on a UX design strategy that achieves UX design within the constraints of the project and on an evolutionary roadmap
- Design system: Create and refine the design system that leads to a well designed, consistent system the team can understand and adopt
- Requirements: Gather, define, and convey visual requirements to create business outcomes and excellent user experiences
- Design validation: Quickly and inexpensively validate or invalidate functional designs through prototyping, or alpha/beta testing, or feature flagging (e.g.)
- Documentation: Author and maintain visual artifacts for the team that provide transparency on AS IS and TO BE states of visual design
- Training strategy: Collaborate with POs to define excellent training for business unit staff, and create and maintain training and reference materials

**Minimum qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in software user experience design
- Outstanding written and verbal English skills

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Empathy for end users and stakeholders, and a desire to provide excellent service
- Experience in business operations such as talent management and forecasting, project management, utilization management, revenue management and forecasting, accounting
- Enthusiasm for Digital Transformation, and helping users unlock the power of data and automation
- Experience in process and service design blueprints
- Demonstrated excellence in interactive design, information architecture, and translating research into design decisions
- A portfolio of work proving your visual design ability with platform guidelines (e.g., Salesforce, iOS, Android) and responsive web design
- Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Proto.io and Adobe products.
- Experienced in Agile, lean, or other iterative product development approaches (design sprints, scrum, kanban)
