**DevOps Engineer - AWS/GCP & CI/CD Optimization (Full-time, Remote)**:
Kick off your next career move with Launchpad We're looking for a hands-on **DevOps Engineer** ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, global media environment. **Contract type**: Contractor, Indefinite
**Work hours**: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm EST

**️ What You'll Be Doing**:

- Manage site hosting, server scaling, and uptime for critical digital properties, enabling seamless global news delivery.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Docker, and CloudFormation to standardize, automate, and secure deployments.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, streamlining release processes and reducing deployment times.
- Maintain CDN routing and performance with Fastly, ensuring fast load times and robust content delivery.
- Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues using New Relic, improving response times and system reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design infrastructure solutions for new features, collections, and projects.

**What You Need to Succeed**:
**Must-haves**:

- +6 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proven experience building and maintaining AWS and GCP infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Terraform, and CloudFormation for IaC.
- Experience managing CDNs (Fastly, Cloudflare, or Akamai).
- Proficiency with GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices.
- Solid operational background in Linux/Unix environments.
- Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with DNS management (NS1, MarkMonitor) and monitoring tools (New Relic).
- Strong understanding of security best practices and tools like PrismaCloud.
- Advanced/Bilingual English communication skills.

**Nice-to-haves**:

- Experience with Node.js in a production environment.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, HTTP, VPN, and routing.
- Background in media or high-traffic environments.
- Agile development experience.
