The Role

What you bring to the team- 8+ years of strong server-side development experience. Experience of front-end development a bonus.- Proven hands-on expertise in developing software in an Agile manner.- Experience with scalability/high availability and distributed data services.- Experience building, deploying and monitoring large scale cloud services.- Good understanding of AWS suit of services preferred.- Experience in modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, Authz/Authn.- Authoritative level understanding and hands-on experience with REST/Web services using JSON.- Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and design concepts.- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL implementations.- Exposure to modern DevOps methodologies with CI/CD pipelines.- Ownership of high value product features and technical initiatives.- Ability to act independently as a lead on complex projects and collaborate with the team.- Excellent communication skills.- Play well with others Be a great teammate and help us maintain our positive culture- Share knowledge with the team both formally and informally.- Ready to adapt and contribute across the wider team as needed.- Provide mentoring and thought leadership to other team members.- Expertise in, or a strong desire to learn, a wide range of technologies, including Java, JavaScript, React.js, REST/JSON APIs, Linux, AWS, Puppet, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, terraform, Selenium, Git
