**The Role**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop a well-tested data infrastructure for our data collection and processing pipelines
- Optimize current data models, queries and build out ETL processes where necessary to meet goals
- Instruct in best practices as well as research best in class tooling for data engineering efforts

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years’ experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or related field
- Experience in Python, Java or Scala with an emphasis on data management and processing (ETL, data cleansing, transformation, etc.)
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, MySQL preferred
- Experience using profiling tools and debuggers to make performance level improvements
- A test-driven mindset with experience using tools and frameworks to validate code
- Familiarity with NoSQL environments and large-scale databases would both be a plus
- Knowledge of data visualization tools would also be a plus
- Experience with Amazon AWS, DevOps and Automation would a strong plus
