Inventory and Treasury Accountant

Position Summary

The focus of this position is to process, analyze, monitor and account daily for the operating process, mainly accounts payable, costs and treasury. Maintaining timely information in these areas is an integral part of daily functionality and a key measure of success. Additionally, it must provide support for tasks related to external and internal audits.

**Responsibilities**:
Accountabilities:

- Accuracy of data input and mínimal error rate are critical success factors.
- Daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting and balance of cost and treasury transactions.
- Fluent in internal accounting practices and methods, mainly costs and treasury.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Ability to make independent decisions and timely communications as it pertains to improving department metrics and goals.
- Execute and maintain Analysis of electronic payments, checks and outgoing electronic transfers.
- Utilize SAP knowledge and high level of unique SAP transactions in cost expert role - be the primary liaison between costing team and other departments.
- Work closely with accounts payable and accounting teams for day-to-day operations, month end reports and audits.
- Communicate with vendors, bank staff and accounts payable team when required.

What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial services environment.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Previous experience in a large entity.
- Skillful in communicating, planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels: both within and outside the organization.
- Back Up in other areas.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior consumer packaged goods experience.
- Basic accounting skills should be demonstrated in prior roles.
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
